Evripos has been a champion employer in hiring inclusively, they have been a partner with Performance Plus Rehabilitative Care Inc. (PPRC) for several years. When Jennifer Forbes the PPRC MentorAbility Coordinator spoke to Evripos they jumped at the chance to offer a MentorAbility opportunity to a PPRC protégé.
Robyn Lapp selected PPRC as her service provider, she accepted the protégé opportunity and spent time with Cheryl Timspon a Certified Quality Auditor with Evripos. Robyn found her experience to be enlightenting; “Evripos was a good match”. Says Robyn, “They gave the best overview they could in the time they had. What I enjoyed most is that everyone was so friendly.”
Cheryl Timspon was the mentor, as a Certified Quality Auditor at Evripos for three years she does quality assurance. Cheryl appreciated the opportunity to work with Robyn. “Robyn is a bright young lady.” Commented Cheryl, “ I said ‘could you do this’, and she ran with it. Robyn got a big chunk of work done considering we were going around the office. She was truly attentive. What impressed me the most is when she had a question or was not sure she asked. Questions were about anomalies. A lot of people would have made assumptions. Robyn took the time to confirm. To a QA person, that means a lot, as they are diligent about the quality of work. She focused 110%.”
Cheryl would definitely recommend MentorAbility to other employers and protégés. “The benefit to an employer includes positivity with team members. Everyone had positive energy from the experience. It is nice to have the feeling that we did something that had positivity for another person.”
